Farm Update: February 2026

More Updates

It’s been simply frigid! Luckily, I’ve been able to escape the cold for a couple weeks of vacation… Farmer Joey, however, has been working hard in the low temps while I’ve been away: clearing all the snow, caring for the sheep, and tending the chickens. His winter highlights include seeing a coyote, fox, and skunk on the trail cam.

This winter we’ve been working with community partners to get some great agricultural offerings for the spring, view our Events page for details. Learn how to forage, prune and graft your fruit trees, and how to navigate sheep lambing – from nutrition to birth! We are now offering a two-part foraging course with renowned local forager Vince Aiello, a tree pruning and grafting class with home-orchardist Gregory Vorontsov, and an all-day lambing workshop with UW Extension Small Ruminant Specialist Carolyn Idhe.
