Perched atop the iconic Pritchard Hill lies one of Napa Valley’s most exciting and transcendent wineries, OVID. Since its inception in 2000, OVID has quickly become regarded as one of the most sought-after producers in all of California. OVID organically farms one single vineyard – broken into smaller one hectare plots – planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. These varieties thrive in the terroir provided by the 1,349 feet of elevation on top of Pritchard Hill and the shallow topsoils that cover the volcanic bedrock for which this part of Napa is famous.
OVID’s own ambassador, Chris Dooley, will be at the farm to present the wines and share his immense knowledge. He’ll have a few surprises, including library releases and unique side projects. The wines will be poured throughout a six-course meal prepared by Four Wind Farm’s Chef in Residence, Jon Rosnow. There will be Champagne to start and digestifs to finish.
