What is Vingård?
Vingård is Four Winds Farm’s monthly wine club. The name Vingård, inspired by Wisconsin’s Scandinavian heritage, translates to “vineyard,” but also carries the literal meaning of “wine farm”—a concept that captures the idea of wine and agriculture existing in dialogue with each other. After the success of the wine club, we are now expanding to offer our members and guests additional wine experiences at Four Winds Farm.
Four Winds Farm’s sommelier James Juedes will lead an
engaging tasting of Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara, California. Explore the
fascinating, varied terroir, and learn about the producers who are able to
express it through their wines. This cool climate region often draws
comparisons to Burgundy, the region we will visit in June’s wine dinner. Book
seats for both to experience two unique, but equally compelling, expressions of
Pinot Noir.
This tasting is presented seminar-style. Guests are asked to
arrive promptly at 6pm.
How does it work?
If you'd like to participate in the tasting, please reserve

highlight top tier bottles from the chosen region. You are welcome to stay
after the seminar to enjoy additional wines by the glass or bottle. Wines will
also be available for retail purchase. Email us at info@fourwindsfarmfitchburg.com with

We are delighted to announce that James Juedes has joined the Four Winds Farm team as our new sommelier! James is a star of the local wine and hospitality scene (Amara, Casetta, L’Etoile) with a deep knowledge of the beverage world and a passion for sharing it with guests. He will be a regular fixture at upcoming wine events: tasting, pop-ups, seminars, dinners, and much more. This dinner in May is built around his ideas of how to construct a menu and how he thinks of beverage pairings. We look forward to seeing you all to help welcome James to Four Winds Farm.
A note from James:
Just like food, there is a natural progression to the enjoyment of beverages throughout the course of a meal. Join us Thursday, May 21 and be a part of the process as we break down food and beverage pairings. You’ll get to enjoy five dishes designed to accompany five different wine and spirit pairings and talk through the methodology as we go. While there are tried and true approaches, this is less about what’s right or wrong and more about maximizing enjoyment. We hope to see you there for another fun evening on the farm!
Menu and pairings:
Toulouse Goose
Rillete, kernza sourdough, rhubarb compote
Pago Pago daiquiri
Walleye Roulade;
puffed wild rice, asparagus veloute

Four Winds
Farm’s wine dinner series will continue this month with an exploration of Burgundy,
which is, to many, home to the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the world. This
hallowed region, a favorite of wine collectors and aficionados, can appear overly
complicated at first glance, but we will spend time to demystify the labels,
vintages, villages, and vineyards, making it approachable for everyone.
We have
selected bottles from the most storied, classic wineries in the region,
benchmarks from which to launch your own future explorations. Tom Loup of
Vino Veritas will be on hand to share from his personal experiences with the
wines and wineries.
Wines to
be poured:
Domaine Rollin, Bourgogne Aligoté, 2023
Jean-Marc Pillot, Bourgogne Blanc "Les Hauts des Champs,” 2023
Jean-Marc Pillot, Bourgogne Rouge “Les Grande Terres,” 2023
Louis Boillot, Volnay “Les Grands Poisots,” 2023
Maison Harbour, Pommard "En Mareau,” 2021
Recently
named Chef in Residence of Four Winds Farm, Jon Rosnow will
return to Four Winds for this dinner. His menus always feature locally grown or
foraged produce and proteins, which he handpicks and preserves himself. Each
wine will be thoughtfully paired with a dish to highlight its unique flavors
and characteristics. Jay Hutchinson, former sommelier of Michelin-starred
restaurants and now Director of Strategy & Business Operations at Four
Winds Farm, will oversee wine service.
Menu to be
announced soon.

Originally from New England, Ian had always heard of America's Dairyland, but didn't fully understand what that meant until moving to Madison 4 years ago. As the manager of the Madison staple, Fromagination, he was introduced to many world renowned, artisanal cheese makers and realized that he'd be honored to join their ranks. Ian now works at the Center For Dairy Research as a Cheese Researcher. Now, almost daily, he discovers some new quality or characteristic of a cheese (while getting to eat plenty of it too). CorePower Yoga Chicago is where she received training and certification through Yoga Alliance. That was enough for big city life. She's more at home on the farm with her horse or out in the woods with her dogs and family. Before yoga, she completed the 750-hour program at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, graduated from UW- La Crosse, and worked briefly in the enlisted ranks of the US Army. Her wish is to guide you through sequences that create strength, relieve pain and remind you of your good heart. She believes yoga leads us to community through harmony. |

6:00 pm May 21, 2026 @ 6:00 PM We are delighted to announce that James Juedes has joined the Four Winds Farm team as our new sommelier! A note from James: Just like food, there is a natural progression to the enjoyment of beverages throughout the course of a meal. Menu and pairings: Toulouse Goose Pago Pago daiquiri Walleye Roulade; Riesling, 2024, Birgit Echinger, "Zöbing” Ramp Ravioli; goat Trousseau/Gamay, 2022, Jolie-Laide, California Lamb Involtini; Nerello Mascalese, 2021, Eduardo Torres Acosta, Vanilla Bread Pudding; Banana Brandy Alexander Chef in Residence Jon Rosnow will return to cook for our guests. This experience has a fixed menu. Please email info@fourwindsfarmfitchburg.com to inquire about dietary restrictions. |
