Farm manager Joey Dunscombe showcases Four Winds Farm’s hops, hopyard, & facilities as he demonstrates how to brew good beer the easy way while having fun. This class will focus on sanitation, beermaking tools & ingredients, and provide a foundation for more advanced brewing practices.

This 2.5-hour class will teach you tips, tricks, and techniques to brew good basic beer as well as discuss the importance of quality hops and includes samples of the class brewed beer.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Joey Dunscombe is a lifelong chef, experimental gardener, easy going instructor, caring partner and father of two boys that has fallen into the wonderful role of Hop Grower/Farm Manager at Four Winds Farm Fitchburg. In addition to his professional role at the farm, Joey is a home hops grower with 3 acres and 1000 plants coming in the spring. He’s been brewing beer for about twenty years and prefers to keep it simple but encourages exploration.
