Next in Four Winds Farm’s series of regional explorations, October’s dinner will feature an exploration of France’s iconic Rhône Valley, guided by Tom Loup of Vino Veritas. We’ll taste wines from the iconic Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Northern Rhône Syrah, and several more.

Recently named Chef in Residence of Four Winds Farm, Jon Rosnow will return to Four Winds for this dinner. His menus always feature locally grown or foraged produce and proteins, which he handpicks and preserves himself. Each wine will be thoughtfully paired with a dish to highlight its unique flavors and characteristics. James Juedes, beverage director for Four Winds Farm, will oversee wine service.

You are welcome to stay after the seminar to enjoy additional wines by the glass or bottle. Wines will also be available for retail purchase. Email us at info@fourwindsfarmfitchburg.com with any questions.

What is Vingård?

Vingård is Four Winds Farm’s monthly wine club. The name Vingård, inspired by Wisconsin’s Scandinavian heritage, translates to “vineyard,” but also carries the literal meaning of “wine farm”—a concept that captures the idea of wine and agriculture existing in dialogue with each other. After the success of the wine club, we are now expanding to offer our members and guests additional wine experiences at Four Winds Farm.

Perched atop the iconic Pritchard Hill lies one of Napa Valley’s most exciting and transcendent wineries, OVID. Since its inception in 2000, OVID has quickly become regarded as one of the most sought-after producers in all of California. OVID organically farms one single vineyard – broken into smaller one hectare plots – planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. These varieties thrive in the terroir provided by the 1,349 feet of elevation on top of Pritchard Hill and the shallow topsoils that cover the volcanic bedrock for which this part of Napa is famous.

OVID’s own ambassador, Chris Dooley, will be at the farm to present the wines and share his immense knowledge. He’ll have a few surprises, including library releases and unique side projects. The wines will be poured throughout a six-course meal prepared by Four Wind Farm’s Chef in Residence, Jon Rosnow. There will be Champagne to start and digestifs to finish. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the wines from one of Napa’s most distinguished estates.
